Welcome to Ammor Icelandic Horses.
We are living at a small farm in the south of Sweden, where we are breeding Icelandic horses.
Ammor Icelandic Horses is a small breeding facility producing 1 - 3 foals each year. We have some young horses with good pedigree for Sale.
Our general vision is to use the best stallions and even young stallions vid very interesting pedigree.
Our breeding goal
Our breeding goal is to breed healthy Icelandic Horses with exceptional good temperament, conformation and gaits. We seek to offer only high-quality horses suited to the individual buyer. We want to breed horses that are clear gaited and easy to start.

Móna från Håkansgården and her son Alfari från Ammor by Hvatur från Lönneberga a son of Mökkur frá Varmalæk. Alfari is Black golden sheen and has no markings (BVP 115). Alfari has a very good pedigree.

Father Sindri frá Högnastödum (8,15/8,33/8,24) by Orri frá Pufu (Honours awards for offsprings) and Gerpla frá Högnastöðum. Gerpla was the highest judged six year old mare at Landsmót 1990. She has the score 8,43 for ridden abilities 9,00 for pace and 8,50 for tölt, trot and willingness. Támyrjas father Sindri has an excellent judgement with 9,0 for pace, 8,5 for trot, gallop and willingness.

Fafnir has competed successfully, at the Nordic Champinship he and his young rider got one gold, two silver and one bronze medal. Fafnirs offspring are usually beautiful, extremely friendly and they have big movements.
Támyrja is a very nice and alert mare. She shows all five gaits with a lot of expression and big movements. She has a lot of willingness but is easy to handle. Támyrja is bred and owned by Ammor Icelandic horses.
Támyrja is a grandchild of our ”old lady” Kenning frá Árbakka.

Von från Bergshill - a beautiful and very friendly horse for sale

Father Fafnir från Götarsvik (8,48/7,95/8,16) by Piltur frá Sperðli (8,13/8,53/8,33). Fafnir has competed successfully, at the Nordic Champinship he and his young rider got one gold, two silver and one bronze medal. Fafnirs offspring are usually beautiful, extremely friendly and they have big movements.
Mother Ósk frá Sydri-Ulfstödum (8,18/8,24/8,21) by Manatindur frá Sydri-Ulfstödum. Ósk scored 9,0 for head and neck/withers/shoulders. Her ridning abilities scored 8,24 best score 8,50 for tölt, spirit and form under rider.
Von is bred by Marianne Bergman, Stall Bergshill, Mörarp Sweden and owned by Ammor Icelandic horses.
Von is a beautiful, very frendly and cooperative horse and very easy to handle. Von and Mynta från Bergshill are half sisters.

Ísak från Ammor - Sold and exported to Denmark
Born 2006, blue dun with a lot of expression. He is well raised and shows a lot of tölt.
Father Ísar frá Keldudal (8,24/ 8,85/ 8,61). Ísar has an incredible pedigree, with several hourses with honours awards. Ísar is by Keilir frá Miðsitju (8,42/8,77/8,63). At the Landsmót (2006), Keilir was placed first in the class of stallions with honours awards for offsprings. This is the third time he wins his class at a Landsmót. Keilir has 83 judged offspring, including 42 who have scored over 8,00.
Mother Hrísla från Ammor a mare by Gustur frá Stykkishólmi (7,91/8,33/8,15) and Kola från Hallvide a 5 gaited mare with a lot of expression and very good gaits.
Ísak was presented at a breeding show in Denmark as a four year old stallion. He got a very good result as only four year old, 7,98 for conformation 8,00 for ridden ability and total 7,99. As five years old he got 8,04 for conformation, 8,31 for ridden ability and total points of 8,20.

Simlirs dame Skikkja frá Árbakka a young mare that unfortunately died when Simlir was a foal. Skikkja was by Svadi frá Árbakka a first class four gaited stallion. Simlir is a beautiful pinto with a fantastic mane and tail. He has very promising gaits and wide movements.

Born 2006. Amor is a well raised red dun stallion. He shows all five gaits and he is, as his brother, very well balanced and he has wide steps. (BVP 113, 2010)

Mother Kenning frá Árbakka (7,86/7,94/ 7,91) a five gaited wonderful mare. Kenning is still a perfect riding horse with a lot of willingness. She is very cooperative and a perfect riding horse for the whole family. Even small children can take a ride on this “Lady”.

Kenning is a high 2nd Prize evaluated mare. She's powerful and willing but very responsive to the riders signals. She passes along her easy character to her offspring. She can be ridden well by both experienced and inexperienced riders, even children.
Kenning is the dame of Mynta från Bergshill a very promising mare, but she vas unfortunately badly hurt in the pasture, so she has not been judged. Kennings son Amor från Ammor is sold. He is a nice looking stallion with very good movements and vide steps. Kenning is also grandmother of Támyrja från Ammor and Milla från Ammor.

Mynta is a very nice, cooperative and eager horse, just like her mother Kenning. Mynta is a big beautiful mare that comes from fantastic breeding lines and she shows tremendous potential for offspring. Mynta has a beautiful conformation she is light build and has long legs. She has big movements. Mynta is a young and promising mare, but she has not been judged at a Breeding show due to an accident in the pasture.
Mynta is bred by Marianne Bergman, Stall Bergshill, Mörarp Sweden and owned by Ammor Icelandic Horses. Mynta has a very good pedigree with several horses that have received ”Honours awards for offsprings”. There are horses like þokki frá Gárði, Stigur frá Kjartansstöðöm, Náttfari frá Ytra-Dalsgerði and Hrafn frá Holtsmúla.
Mynta has got the offsprings Támyrja från Ammor and Milla från Ammor.

Mónas father Askur från Håkansgården is one of the best stallions in the world. He is the first stallion born in Sweden with Honours awards for offsprings.
He has fantastic results from breeding shows and competitions. He has three gold medals from World Championships, five from Swedish Championships and one gold medal from the Nordic Championship.
The breeder of Móna is Mariette and Sven-Åke Andersson, Håkansgården and she is owned by Ammor Icelandic Horses.
